CAPM Practice: Determine how to document project controls of predictive, plan-based projects

After CCB approval, the project manager must: update the schedule baseline (formally moving the end date by 3 weeks); update all affected project documents (schedule, milestone list, potentially cost if the extended duration incurs additional costs); notify all relevant stakeholders of the new dates; and document the approved change in the change log with the decision and rationale.

**Why not A:** Simply informing stakeholders of the new end date is only one part of the required actions. Without also updating the schedule baseline and documenting the change in the change log, the project records would be incomplete and inconsistent.

**Why not B:** Submitting a separate change request to adjust the cost baseline is not necessarily the next step. If the 3-week extension has cost implications, that should have been addressed as part of the original change request analysis. The immediate action after approval is to update baselines and communicate.

**Why not D:** Waiting for the resource to return before updating documents is incorrect. The CCB has already approved the schedule change, and the project manager must immediately update the baseline and notify stakeholders regardless of when the resource returns.
