Business process models (BPMN diagrams, swim-lane diagrams, flowcharts) visually depict how work flows through an organization. They help identify inefficiencies, define automation opportunities, and communicate how the solution will support the process.

**Why not A:** Creating financial models to project project costs describes financial analysis or cost estimation, not business process modeling. Process models visualize how work flows through activities and decision points, not how money flows through budgets.

**Why not C:** Documenting team member workflows for HR purposes is an HR or organizational documentation task, not the BA use of process models. BAs use process models to understand business operations, identify improvement opportunities, and define system requirements, not for personnel management.

**Why not D:** Modeling database schema for the technical team describes data modeling, a separate BA technique. Process models focus on activities, decision points, and actor interactions in a business process, while data models describe the structure and relationships of data stored by the system.
